In dogs and other small animals, physiotherapy can help muscular, neurological and age related issues.

Injuries can occur in any dogs from competitive agility or fly ball dogs to pet dogs playing in a garden. Some dogs are predisposed to injury due to their conformation or breed such as spinal injuries in Dachshunds or hip dysplasia in Labradors or Rottweilers.

Common signs include:

  • crying when getting up
  • difficulty climbing stairs or jumping into cars
  • uneven gait
  • signs of discomfort when being stroked in a particular area
  • reluctance exercising
  • reduced athletic performance
  • age related issues such as osteoarthritis
  • obesity issues
  • pre and post operative care
